Do you want to fly directly to Chateau du Bois Noir? Then there are various possibilities.

There are three airports in our area, we wish you a good journey in advance!

If you are traveling with the high speed train to France you should always changing trains in Paris. Normally, you will arrive at Paris Gare du Nord station or station Paris Gare de Lyon.

You should know that the destinations to Southwest France (Bordeaux) with the TGV always leave of the station Paris Gare Montparnasse. You can easily reach this station by metro.

Château du Bois Noir has no street name with house number. If you drive with a navigation system, you have to enter "Le Bois Noir" as an address.

The chateau is located on the D3 between Brignac-la-Plaine and Yssandon.

  • Station Amsterdam Centraal to Paris Gare du Nord: daily with the Thalys. Duration 3 hours and 18 minutes.
  • Bahnhof Frankfurt an Main to Paris Gare de Lyon: daily with the ICE. Duration 3 hours and 43 minutes.
  • Zurich Hauptbahnhof to Paris Gare de Lyon: daily with the Lyria/TGV. Duration 4 hours and 14 minutes.
  • Paris Gare Montparnass – Gare Bordeaux Saint-Jean: daily with the TGV inOUI. Duration 2 hours and 8 minutes.

Road description from Calais

1. Take Motorway A26 and A1 to Paris.
2. At Paris take the A3 – A86 and A10 in the direction of Bordeaux.
3. Via Orléans to the A71 and at Vierzon take exit A20.
4. Follow the A20 via Chateauroux, Limoges, Toulouse to Brive-La-Gaillarde.
5. Before Brive-La-Gaillarde, take exit 50 “Ouest de Brive” route D901 in the direction of Objat.
6. After 7 to 8 km, in the direction of Varetz and in the village of Burg turn left in the direction of Ayen/Yssandon to the D5.
7. After 9 km, turn left in the direction of Yssandon (after approx. 1,5 km of Burg do not take the first exit to Yssandon, but the second).
8. Follow the D3 in the direction of Brignac la Plaine with the signs “Bois Noir”.
9. After passing the sign “Bois Noir” you will see the château after approximately one hundred meters.
